This post marks my return to my blog after a long absence.

robinIn early 2010, after several years of exploring what I might do next, a dear friend and mentor suggested that I get a PhD. While there are people my age and older who have embarked on that path, I did not want to spend five+ years as a grad student. But the seed was planted, and grew quickly.

Three weeks after I started my research on grad schools, I submitted my application to a master’s program at UCSD/Scripps Institute of Oceanography. I’m proud to announce that I recently completed the 12-month/48-credit program in marine conservation and policy.

The next posts will highlight a couple of my projects.
